Why People Quit too Soon

No business is easy to run and that goes for the online business opportunities that you often see.

A lot of my clients are involved in these businesses and very few make money at them. Is that because the businesses don't work? Well in some cases that is right but more often it is down to the individual person.

People want instant results these days. How often do you catch yourself wondering how long that microwave meal is going to take? Those dials just go so slow eh?

I sent a client in America a form the other day whilst we were on the phone. We were both online and waiting for it to arrive, now something must have gone wrong because after 7 seconds it still hadn't arrived. Eventually after an eternity of 8 seconds it arrived! Can you imagine, Nottingham UK to San Diego USA and it took 8 seconds! I mean it's not like it's the other side of the world! Of course we both sent in strongly worded complaints to our Email providers ;-) - Irony alert here!

We are so impatient and the same goes for home based businesses, people get started ring a few people, send a few emails and .......... nothing, not a penny. Some give up after a few weeks thinking it will never work. The reality is that any business takes time to grow, it's like building a building.

I remember when I worked in London my office overlooked a building site, they were building a new high rise office building. For months they were working everyday but you couldn't see anything, then after a while I could see some steel rods surrounded by wood poking out of the ground and they filled the wood in with concrete. A few days later they took the wood away and we saw the start of the building. After this it shot up, they completed a floor a week.

The first few months were spent laying the foundations making sure that when it was built it was solid. We have to look at businesses the same, spend some time learning about the business, building foundations and then see the rewards.

It's like rolling up a ball of string, have you noticed how at the beginning it takes a while but as the string ball gets bigger every turn uses up more string and it gets easier.

One of the problems is that people are still in the wage slave mode, they expect to receive an hours pay for an hours work but the reality as an entrepreneur that isn't going to happen, sometimes you work for 10 hours and receive nothing, then sometimes you receive 10 lots of reward for work you put in weeks ago.

So if your business isn't going as well as you hoped you can do 2 things - give up or keep going knowing you are building the foundations.

If despite patience your business isn't building and you have kept at it drop me a line and I will show you how you can improve your business and speed things up.

Who succeeds? The one who knows, or the one who does?

I make no apologies for just copying this exactly - read it today and thought I had to share it.

A Little Equation that Creates Big Results by Chris Widener

The purpose of man is in action not thought - Thomas Carlyle
Often people will ask me how I get so much done in my life. They wonder at how I am able to accomplish so many things. The answer is found not in what a great person I am, but in an equation I came up with a few years ago and remind myself of on almost a daily basis. And when I live this equation out, it produces big results. What people don't seem to grasp is that this equation will work for anybody! Anyone can see results in their life if they will live it out!
This little equation, when it is understood, and acted upon, is perhaps the most powerful equation there is in regard to long-term achievement and accomplishment. Yet, this is not a complex equation. In fact, it is rather simple. So what is it?

Your short-term actions multiplied by time equal your long-term accomplishments.
If you want to see change in your life, see big results, the first thing you must do is change your current actions. Otherwise the old saying becomes a reality: "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got!" But if we change our actions, we will see different results!

Most people want to accomplish a lot in their lives. Yet very few actually do. Why is this? It is because what they believe will equal their long-t erm accomplishments is wrong. Here are some of the things that people believe will create great accomplishments for them:
Beliefs, Vision, Big dreams, Ideas, Ideals, Values, Desire

The truth is that while these things are very important, they are not enough in and of themselves. We need to have the above underlying all that we do, but we need to actually do something! And this is where most people stop. We need to take action on our dreams and beliefs every day.

Here are some examples of how this works.

Who loses weight? The one who knows all about the benefits of exercise or the one who walks three miles a day?
Who retires early? The one who dreams of a house on the beach, or the one who invests $300 a month?
Who writes books? The one who desires to become a best-selling author, or the one who gets up early and writes for half an hour a day?
Who has the best marital relationship? The one who knows how much spending time with their spouse can improve their relationship, or the one who sits down and talks with their spouse every night?
Who makes the most sales? The one who believes they can become a great salesperson, or the one who makes 10 sales calls a day?

I think you get the point. When it all comes down to it, we must act upon our vision, beliefs, and ideals or we won't see them come to fruition. I see too many people who know what is right, but don't ever do anything about it. Imagine what a difference we could make in our own lives and the lives of others if we would simply begin to act upon on our beliefs!

When I get to the end of my life, I want to know that I have done all that I can to make this world a better place and to enhance the lives of those around me. I want to know that I gave it my best shot. And I am sure that you do to.

I remember reading an interview with an author who has written numerous books that have sold in the tens of millions. They asked him how he did it. His answer was that he got up every morning before anyone else in his family and wrote, long hand, with a pencil, for an hour. Then he quit and went about his day. But his short-term actions piled up. 7 hours a week. 30 hours a month. 365 hours a year. After a while, he had lots of books!

Some questions as we leave:

What long-term accomplishments do you want to see come to pass? What short-term actions will you need to do over time to see them come to pass? What will you do today to begin seeing your dreams come true? What will you do this week to see them come true?

You can have an awesome future, filled with great achievements and results if you begin today to take action and make it a reality!

One more time, so you can plug it in, memorize it, and live it.

Your short-term actions multiplied by time equal your long-term accomplishments

What are you doing to secure your future?

I had an interesting day yesterday, I went to a start up business exhibition in Nottingham and heard some good speakers - most notably Emma Jones from Enterprise Nation. There were 1300 people there - just shows that many people are looking to start their own business up in these difficult times. I believe passionately that this is a good way out of the recession.

In the evening I went to a Network Marketing event and listened to a great Speaker - Ray Robbins. I know ray and have met him a few times, he is always entertaining and forthright. He told how he used to work in a Fortune 500 company. He had a college degree, he had been an officer in the forces, he ticked all the boxes as he has been told to. "Get an education, get a good job, keep your head down and you will secure for life". The company had an 'employee of the month' award. After a couple of years they disbanded it because he was the only one who ever won it. He had trebled all the targets they set, he was the star of the company.

In 1974 there was a downturn in the economy (nothing like what those stuck in the matrix tell us this one is going to be like) Guess who got made redundant? Ray Robbins, why? he cost the most!

I could see that although this was 35 years ago it still hurt him. He had done everything he had been told and was still unemployed. He turned to Network Marketing deciding he was never going to let anyone decide his fate (how funny I used that exact phrase a month ago). He now earns $3.8million a year, his earnings are public so he knew we could check but I know Ray and would never doubt anything he says.

It was interesting that both he and Emma Jones made the same point, no job is secure today - none. Some people will read this and think "mine is because I'm special" - you are right you're special but your job isn't - it is vulnerable and so are you and your family unless you do something about it.

Self employment is more secure than employment these days. Every sector is losing jobs and it's getting worse.

A lot of people don't know about Network Marketing but let me tell you it is a genuine, good way of earning an income and securing your finances. I sat in a room with 100 people last night, at least 20 of them earning £50,000 a year. Others had just started and had those ambitions.

It is the fairest way to earn money - that's not me saying that but Warren Buffet - he knows a thing or two about money. With a net worth of over $60Billion he is the richest man in the world and owns 3 network marketing businesses.

Network marketing works - if you work. We had someone in our team once who moaned after 6 months that she hadn't earned anything and then went on to criticise the system. This was a woman who after 4 months was still putting the final touches to her first eMail!!! Everyone who puts in the effort with the right guidance over a period of time will earn money.

If you are interested in what it can offer and if you want to be part of our team, the fastest growing team in the UK (according to our company) then email me at steve@ukwealthcoach and tell me why we should let you be part of the team.
